HIGH SPEED SWITCHING

High Speed Switching is critical to our vision of automated Guideway transit.  This is a Schematic illustration showing how the Guideway remains passive and the switch is an arm that grabs the track and is located on the vehicle.  This switch will also allow for vehicles from main line to go onto the local loop.  This is an advantage, in getting people to their final destination and should attract higher ridership. Similar to interstate highways, the vehicles leave the main track to dock at stations allowing other vehicles to continue on at high speeds. These switches do not have time to move as current rail switches do and must remain static.
