Mr.
Bingham has a career spanning 45 years in the area of civil and structural engineering,
encompassing all areas of production and management, with specialization in
construction systems, prototype development, quality control of unique
entertainment systems, finite element stress analysis, mechanical stress
analysis and design, and computer applications relative to budgetary and
scheduling aspects of projects. Mr. Bingham
has worked for the Division of the State Architect Structural Safety Section
and was responsible for the review of plans and construction supervision of
school buildings. This foundation has
given him a good knowledge of the code and procedures required in school
construction. Mr. Bingham
started Entertainment Engineering as a branch office of John A. Martin &
Associates in 1987. Under his
supervision, EEI has provided structural engineering, mechanical design and
project management for such unique projects as Universal Studios Earthquake
attraction in Los Angeles and King Kong attraction in Florida. EEI was also responsible for the
structural upgrade and new site development projects of Sony Pictures Studios
in Culver City. While
serving as Director of Operations for John A. Martin & Associates, Inc.
Mr. Bingham’s responsibilities included job planning, scheduling and cost
controls for over one billion dollars worth of construction per year. Previous to
his experience with John A. Martin & Associates, Mr. Bingham held the
position of Chief Structural Engineer for Walt Disney Imagineering for six
years. While at WDI he was
responsible for the structural development, design and construction phase
services, and the management aspects of coordinating all structural work of
the Architectural & Engineering teams for the EPCOT projects and
providing the structural interface for the facility, show, and ride systems. |
